28.06.10 Free Medical Care by Jamsostek
In order to further enhance its services,
the workers’ social security firm PT. Jaminan Sosial Tenaga Kerja (Jamsostek)
performed free medical care in the vicinity of PT. Golden Manyaran Semarang
(GM) on June 28, 2010. The ceremony was opened with a series of speeches by the
district chief and the representative of Jamsostek along with the HRD manager
for GM. Hundreds of GM’s employees participated in the event hosted by Mr. Adi
as well as some of the villagers who dwell around the industrial area ranging
from children to infirm elderly.
“Thank you very much,” said an elderly woman
who had been feeling weak in the past few days. “I really don’t have the
strength to reach the clinic in the city or the money to consult with a
doctor.” Jamsostek has doubtlessly proved that they are greatly capable of
providing help to the villagers, even offering services without requiring
membership.
The services were performed steadily and
lasted for two hours.
